How address verification works
Check Gmail Live (check-gmail.live) is a free web tool that tells you the current status of Gmail addresses in bulk: whether each address is Live, Disabled, needs Verify, or is Unregistered. It exists for one everyday job — cleaning an email list before you use it — and it is built to do that job without asking for anyone's password.
The site went live in March 2026. It is available in 14 languages and also hosts a free Proxy Tester for HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies.
Who runs it
Check Gmail Live is built and operated by an independent developer team — the same team behind the GAIO Tool for Google account management and the IPv6 proxy service advertised on this site. Support is handled directly by us on Telegram at @tingoma7111, in English, Vietnamese and Indonesian. There is no outsourced help desk.
Check Gmail Live is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. "Gmail" and "Google" are trademarks of Google LLC and are used here only to describe what the tool checks.
How a check works
- You paste a list (one address per line, or drag and drop a .txt / .csv file). Your browser sends it to our server over HTTPS; duplicates are removed before anything else happens.
- Mail-server handshake. For each address we open a standard SMTP conversation with Google's mail servers and ask whether the mailbox accepts mail. This is the same exchange any mail server performs before delivering a message. No email is sent — the conversation is closed before any message body is transmitted. Google's reply already separates addresses that do not exist or are disabled from those that accept mail.
- Account-status lookup. For addresses that accept mail, we query Google's account-status interface in real time, so we can tell an active account from one that Google is holding behind phone verification. With Check Flag enabled the same lookup also reports accounts that have no profile picture.
- Deleted vs. Unregistered (optional). With Check Deleted enabled we observe how Google's public Gmail sign-up form responds to the username. If Google still reserves the name, the account was deleted; if the name is free, it was never registered. The check stops before any account is created.
- Results stream back to your browser in real time. You can filter them, copy them, or download them as TXT (grouped by status) or CSV.
Fast Check (⚡) skips step 3 and 4. It is considerably faster on large lists, but it reports Disabled and Verify together as "Die".
What each result means

| Deleted | The account was deleted but Google still reserves the username (only with Check Deleted). |
| Error | The status could not be determined. Try again, or use Fast Check. |
What the tool does not do
- It never asks for, needs, or stores a password for the addresses you check.
- It does not log in to the accounts you check and cannot see their inbox, contacts, or any other content.
- It does not send email to the addresses you check.
- It does not keep the list you pasted after the check finishes — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is and is not retained.
- It does not create Google accounts, and it does not try to guess or recover passwords.
Accuracy and limits
Every result reflects what Google's servers answered at the moment of the check. Google changes its responses from time to time, and accounts change state, so a result is a snapshot rather than a guarantee. When a lookup fails, the web checker retries it after the rest of the list is done; if it still fails the address is reported as Error instead of being guessed.
To keep the service usable for everyone, checks run under fair-share limits. A free account has a per-run address limit that is shown inside the checker once you are signed in. Premium raises the limit to 50,000 addresses per run, removes the thread cap, enables Check Deleted, Check Flag and Google Workspace domains, and includes the HTTP API. Intended use. Check Gmail Live is a list-hygiene tool. Use it on addresses you have a legitimate reason to verify — your own lists, your customers' opt-in lists, or records you manage — not to profile or target individuals. Our Terms of Service spell this out.
